He was not only the first doctor to perform open-heart surgery, he was also African-American. This man must have been very brave to perform such complicated surgeries with the limited knowledge they had back then. It shows what crucial role people who are courageous enough to innovate have in the medical field. Indeed, without inspiring people like Dr. Williams, medicine would not be as evolved as it is nowadays. Moreover, it would be a great idea to talk about the period Dr. Williams evolved in. Situating the reader in time is important. Also, you could add little summaries with the main points found in each article. You did an amazing job! I truly enjoyed discovering your passion through those articles.
